Description

Pettaquamscutt Rock is a 50' cliff at the back of a park.
The rock is covered with quartz nubbins that are very sharp, rope abrasion is almost unavoidable.

Getting There

There's a small parking area near the field on Middlebridge rd. Walk up the hill for a few minutes to the cliff.

This little crag has been climbed on since at least the 1970s, though owing to better alternatives not so much nowadays. It even had its own published guidebook. The rock is like climbing on a giant cheese grater. Until there is more posted here, your best source of information is climbri.org/pet.htm Note - Don't post descriptions or artwork lifted from that site or other guides without express permission from the original authors, please. Use your own descriptions. Basic facts like name, grade, Fa are fine under fair use, but not someone else's creative work. Jan 8, 2016
