Sunny all Winter.
Shady before noon and after 4:30 in summer.

Mile mark 3.0 on trail

Or,
park at Chestnut Grove natural area on Chestnut Grove Rd parking lot (GPS 39.948447, -76.432095) and take the turkey hill trail to the Enola trail that follows the Susquehanna river and walk south. The distance from car to Alpine area is about 2.0 miles
