Description Suggest change

Known formally as the John H. Chafee Nature Preserve, Rome Point is a 230-acre state-owned conservation area in North Kingstown. It is not exactly a bouldering destination but there are a couple of good size glacial erratics and if you happen to be mountain biking or hiking here then there are some boulders to jump on. Nothing I've done is particularly hard but like most bouldering just move a couple of inches and make it as hard as you want. Others have bouldered here evidenced by chalk on the holds.

Getting There Suggest change

There is a well marked parking area on Boston Neck Road (RT 1A) that is 2.5 miles south of the village of Wickford and one mile north of RT 138. Go down the entrance trail and the boulders are on the left side on multiple branch trails. Boulder 1 is on the first trail on the left and Boulder 2 is on the second trail on the left marked by yellow dots.
