Description
Home of the biggest, scariest waterfall in the Catskill Park. The Kaaterskill Falls area has several options attractive to climbers. The As you ascend into the drainage from the trailhead, you may observe very nice moderate ice wall on the far (left) side of the creek. This would be an attractive and off the beaten path place to take novice climbers. When you gain the Kaaterskill Falls amphitheater proper, you will find two major ice lines, the falls itself and Gotliebs Roof on the right.
