Description

Slab, more slabs, crack climbing, and big walls. Osogna is not your typical Ticino sport climbing destination, with plenty of features to test the abilities of those used to crimping on steep faces.

A good option for a group with mixed levels, as there are entertaining routes from 4b - 7c+. Over 150 routes total.

Parete di Osogna has a number of bigwall routes which deserve their own description, see bigwalls.ch for some beta.

Outstanding waterfall grottos provide summer relief -- one is near sector E on the walls, other down in town.

Getting There

Public transit to Osogna Paese, walk ~ 45 min through the town, past the grotto resataurant, up hill past the little chapel and into the woods. SAC guidebook has a good map.

Drive: arrive early to be able to park at the end of the road, 10 min approach to the walls
