Access Issue: Private Property
Details
The trail passes through private property for the first three miles.
Description
The Pine River Trailhead is most commonly known and used for accessing the Pope's Nose, as well as some newer climbing that has taken place near the Indian Creek drainage. However, during the colder months, the Pine River valley has good potential for ice and mixed routes. This is a remote and scenic place for climbing. The approaches are long, and climbing routes out here typically requires at least a full day, maybe more. The Pine River trail passes through private property for the first three miles. Please be respectful and stay on the trail until after the wilderness boundary is reached.
