Description

Rattlesnake Bar State Park is in the north section of Folsom Lake. It's no climbing destination, but if you're in the area, you can find a few scattered granite boulders to work on.

The entrance fee is $12, but there is limited free parking outside the entrance gate. You can also reach the area by pedal, horse, foot or boat from other parts of Folsom Lake.

Getting There

Drive a few surface streets to the end of Rattlesnake Bar Road. From the end of the pavement, the boulders are visible just across a small drainage, on the near (north) side of the lake.
