Description

Take the Eagle Peak trail to the saddle, between Eagle and Chutla peaks. The trail ends here. You can reach the summit of Eagle Peak via a short 1/4 mile scramble. A short 3rd class section leads to the summit of Eagle Peak. Summit el. 5,958'.

Getting There

After entering Mt. Rainier N.P., drive to Longmire. At the back country office, turn at a fork and continue past the crew quarters, over a bridge, and park on the shoulder.
The Eagle Peak trail is signed.
