Description
The Underground Chasm is a narrow corridor that splits lower Walt's Rocks. The routes in the corridor are bolt protected, vertical to slightly overhanging, and ascend generally good, highly featured rock. The rock here has a heavy patina which makes it highly climbable, though in places that patina is exfoliating. Shade and sun varies depending on the time of year.
Getting There
Scramble around to the left of Lower Walt's Rocks to the mouth of the Chasm. The arete of Survivor guards the entrance. It is possible to scramble up out of the back of the Chasm via a low fifth class chimney.
