Cross Country Trail Boulders

Virginia > DC & Northern VA Region

Description

Located in the shady a Pohick Creek drainage, a few gneiss, spray painted boulders that make for a couple problems. This isn't a great climbing destination, but if you have no-where better to go, it's something.

Getting There

One way to get there is to park at round about at the end of Wadebrook Terrace (maps goo.gl/vQw5dP), and walk down Cross Country Trail for half mile. It very easy and paved.

[Hide Comment] I'm pretty sure access is good here. The stream-way and buffer is owned by Fairfax Country Parks. I also think there's some more potential boulders other side of the stream. I didn't have time to check them out. Nov 24, 2013

Unfortunately, I could only access 4 of the posted problems, as the creek was flooded and impassable. Apr 8, 2016
