Description
Although it is farther down on the hillside, Høgfoss is much more exposed than Gaustatoppfossene. Høgfoss is highly recommended and the long climbs are worth the long approach.
Getting There
Continue along the path past Gaustatoppfossene, following the electric cables until you reach the highest pylon. Walk down the steep hillside towards the valley. Rappel to the base of the climbs. Snowshoes/skis are highly recommended for the approach. Takes about 60min.
Alternative Approach:
Høgfoss can also be accessed from the valley by climbing low angle ice. Expect at least 3 hours when using this approach.
