Description

This is a solid boulder to warm up on. There are a few problems on it, the obvious one is from left to right traversing to the top. There's also a problem on the right face that starts in the crack and an obvious jug to grab with your right hand then step up and lock in higher on the crack.

Getting There

This is on the way to bear hug right on the side of the trail.

The traverse was fun at V0. Dan also spotted a straight up variation at V0.

The problem on the right face proved to be pretty tough. I started with my right hand high up in the crack and left hand on a pinch (on the arete). Rating it from that start position, I'd say it felt like a V3-4 problem. Humidity was very high. I'd like to go back and see how it feels with better friction.

I re-read the description and figured that the listed line described (on the right face) must have been further right then the line we tried. We were basically going up between the arete and the crack.

I posted a picture outlining the 3 lines Dan and I climbed. We think that climb 1 could have a very cool sit start way down low and transition into the line we climbed. That would likely go at a solid V6-7? Apr 18, 2018
