Big thanks to Myk who did some awesome trail maintenance on the way to Ireland yesterday. I shoulda taken some pictures ! Myk understands that climber trails DO NOT MAINTAIN THEMSELVES. Sep 7, 2016

Really nice area. Thanks for the routes. Despite being close to 8000 feet this area is pretty climbable this time of year if you don't get there at the crack of dawn. 78 in Tucson today and was actually a bit warm at the crag after noon Nov 23, 2015
Its the anchors out there......ill definately gett mussys on them. Dec 9, 2014

Hey Dom... was it an anchor biner or was it a fixed draw ?

My personal leaning these days is to eliminate certain fixed draws, use steel biners for others, and use nothing but fat steel mussys for anchors.

What Jim says about top-roping is true for lowering leaders too... only the last should use the in-place anchor. Dec 9, 2014

Everyone should also be reminded that you should top rope off your own draws!!!

Only the last person up should lower on the biners that are part of the anchor. Dec 9, 2014
Hey folks,

Anders just informed me that he replaced some beaners at ireland that have worn more than half way through. Im going to get some stainless beaners out there next time im there but if youre at ireland or any crag with permanent beaners be sure to check them before use. Not only does the half worn through equipment pose an obvious structural integrity issue, but also introduces the possibility for severe rope damage. Have fun and be safe.

Cheers. Dec 8, 2014

Dom and Anders,
Was out at Ireland yesterday for the first time. The routes were great. Thanks for the fun. Oct 16, 2013
No worries :) thanks mate. Oct 10, 2013
Whoops! That is rather embarrassing, but the biners shall be back on the climb by the end of the weekend. I think I got confused because somebody told me they left gear up there and to tell them on mountain project. My bad, guys. Oct 10, 2013
A very good idea.....thanks geir. Oct 9, 2013

Dominic,

If you haven't already done this consider spray painting those biners to match the rock. This seems to help people figure out that they are anchor biners and not booty. Oct 9, 2013
Heh......looks like someone has confused anchor biners for booty on some of the easier routes here.......if those could be returned that'd be great..........we've left them on the anchors for the convenience of the folks that climb them :) Oct 8, 2013
Hello! I have someone's toprope set-up. It was left on Kiss It and is composed of 3 locking biners and a red runner. Send me a message if this is yours! Aug 22, 2013
Fun area with some fun climbing. Thanks guys. Aug 11, 2013
