Description
Save yourself the expense of a trip to Patagonia or the miles of approach to the Wind Rivers . . . bag some towers in your own back yard!
The Cirque of the Toweritas is cluster of limestone towers in Neffs Canyon that surely will (not)grace the pages of ROCK & ICE. Every route is on a free standing tower. The hard grey limestone is (very) loosely reminiscent of the south of france. This place is so remote that many of the soaring towers have yet to be conquered.
Dogs are allowed up here but there is not a lot of flat ground for them to lie on.
Note that there is a bottomless pit or mine shaft that goes pretty much straight down into the ground behind The not so Great Trango. Watch your pooch so they don't fall in or jump in to fetch the stuff you throw in to listen to as it falls toward the flames of hell.

Hike up the neffs canyon trail. Follow the trail up the canyon to the left at the major fork by the rope swing. straight goes up toward mt olympus. You'll see the towers through the trees up on the hillside to the left. Follow trail to below the towers then turn left and go up the loose scree to the towers.
