Permits can be acquired at the ranger station on the way to the boulders from the upper Tramway station.

Description

This is an area where most people don't climb for some odd reason. So if you are looking to get away from the crowd, do a little exploring and have a good time, I suggest going here.

Getting There

That is located, rather than going straight from the switchbacks path, go left. Follow that as it goes right, crossing the marsh, and around the Ski Rental center. The boulders are scattered all over about 150yrds from that building. But you can find this one off to the right. THIS climb is on the back side of the boulder from where you would most likely be coming from.
