Description
The Shire. It'd be nice if it was that cozy here! The routes are all named after The Lord of the Rings. This crag has possibly the least amount of variability with the most amount of routes. Every route here is an UIAA 8, from 8- to 8+. And though the crag is very short, the moves are powerful on overhanging rock and often on one and two finger pockets. Well, the cruxes are like that anyway; the rest is three and four finger pockets.
Getting There
Park at Schlöttermühle, which is located between Wolfsberg and Obertrubach and is directly across from the bridge where you park for Bleisteine. Hike up to Dachlwand and follow the trail to the left to continue through the trees up a steep trail to reach the Rumpelkammer. Auenland is 30m further to the right.
