Description
"Let me tell you about my boat."
Although the Belafonte was in bit of a state of disrepair, some cleaning has yielded a handful of fun problems. Further cleaning should yield innumerable problems of pretty much any grade one could ask for. From lower angle slabby climbs on the right side to tall scary test-pieces on the left, this boulder is likely to have it all.
While two original problems (Calm, Collected, German and the V1 traverse) on the left side are still as good as ever, recent work has cleaned up at least three fun slab climbs on the south side of this face and at least one stout crimpy problem near the traverse. Quite a few more may be available with some additional effort. The quality of the rock after cleaning is better than some might expect. Nonetheless, the problems are likely to evolve somewhat in the near future, and regular dusting is recommended. If you're motivated, bring a few brushes and a six pack (pack it back out with you of course) and go to town...I don't think you'll be disappointed.
