Description Suggest change

Situated about 100 yards down the trail from the Bruisemasters Block, this area contains roughly a dozen boulders of varying size. Coming in at 25' tall, The Big Boulder is the proudest of these. Its massive prow arete and floating roof, both of which are easily visible from the trail, inspire awe and fear in equal proportion.

Getting There Suggest change

The Big Boulder is located 5 minutes beyond the left end, walking on the railroad bed. Walk down the railroad bed until you see a massive boulder resting on a pedestal a little ways into the woods. You can't miss it.

If you want to avoid poison ivy, a rusty wire fence, and a ditch, enter the woods at the Bruisemasters Block (about 300 feet before the Big Boulder) and follow the trail that runs roughly parallel to the rail trail.
