This area consists of several crags in the area between Frankfurt and Limburg, with a few areas to the west of Frankfurt as well.

Most of the areas are smaller, single pitch crags, with the notable exception of the Rotenfels, which offers some multi-pitch climbing.

The rock is mixed with some sandstone, limestone, basalt and quartzite, depending on where you go.
