Description

Small area just down from the Wailing Walls. Has two distinct faces that are split by a prominant chimney. These two walls have the highest concentration of quality routes in the area. The rock is fairly good for Grand Canyon standards.

The star ratings are based on this area alone. Don't try to compare a 2-3 star routes here to any where else. You hopefully didn't come to the Grand Canyon expecting great cragging. This is a small local area that should be viewed as a place to get a little workout in when you need to feed the rat.

Getting There

From the top of the wailing wall routes you can contour around to this wall. Either walk to the base or work out setting top ropes on some of the anchors. Beware loose rock at the top of the wall.

You can also walk the west rim trail and walk down directly above the walls. This is the best option once you get to know the place.
