Patrol Boulder

Colorado > Independence Pass > Difficult Campground

Description

This is a boulder close to CO Highway 82 and Aspen. It has at least a few traverse problems: V0, V1, and V5.

Getting There

Heading towards Independence Pass from Aspen, go about 2.8 miles out of town. The boulder is on the left maybe 20 or 30 feet from the highway. There's a sewer/manhole that says Electric on it right by a dirt trail going up a short steep section.

Per Alvaro Arnal: do not access this boulder by parking at Difficult Campground. Patrol Boulder is on the other side of the road about a mile before you reach the reach the campground.
