Description
Nice spot for a quick boulder if you don't have time for anything else or if your Blackhead plans get hosed. Basically one good boulder with some smaller or lower quality boulders in the vicinity.
Getting There
Drive from Shea Heights down Blackhead road, past the freshwater bay trailhead and pull over at the head of a gravel road with boulders in front of it. Walk down this road for around 3 minutes until you can make a sharp left turn down a secondary trail. This trail leads up a pile of rocks and gravel to a flat area (there's some garbage with bullet holes through it here). Walk to the far left of this flat area and go through the small patch of forest to a barren area. Trend right, over the crest of the hill and you should be able to see the main boulder. (Approach time: 10 minutes)
