The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that: 1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor. 2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.
This is the southern of two boulders not far off the trail with a couple of problems, Painted Savage (V1) and Savage Right (V2), on the northeast face.
Getting There
Approach as for the Headstone Boulders and continue on the trail east just past The Arrowhead.
