Description Suggest change

This, the companion boulder to the Don Juan Boulder (see Castaneda), is another enormous boulder which seems to draw climbers to it's steep, seemingly featureless sides. The boulder sits on a hillside below some cliffs (The Don Genaro Cliffs) which are good from afar but far from good.

Three routes have been done here - The Mexican Hat of Josh (5.11b), What is the Question (A2) and Hotpants (5.13b).

Getting There Suggest change

Approach like The Cornerstone (Uncle Willie's approach past the Freak Brothers Dome and then east into the Wonderland Wash as it heads northeast) but make a right and head south for a short distance to the obvious formation on the hillside. The distinctive block of The Refrigerator is about 400 meters to the north.

The approach takes anywhere from 35 minutes to an hour from the parking area.
