Description
Granite climbing within an hour and a half from PHX. Mainly boulders but bolts are being drilled and plenty of granite splits ready for FA's. Most climbing is all around the big pile of boulders around the parking area in front of the “jail house” boulder
Getting There
(AWD or a little Clearance is recommended because you go through a sandy wash, a crosstrek can make it easily for example)
From Highway 60 turn onto Center st. Follow that to the end and turn left on Hall ave. take that down to Tank Pass/Indian Springs Rd for 1.5 miles then turn left to enter the wash for an additional 2.5 miles to a leftward fork that takes you to the main area. (use the maps for more specific turn-off locations) getting to where most the sport climbs and underbelly are stay straight instead of turning left up to the first big rock pile that will be on your left.
