Description
Hidden from view is this amazing natural feature, a narrow corridor of perfect chocolate patina with a perfect splitter bisecting one of the walls. The prize here is the all too short but sweet Heart of Darkness (5.10d) but if here you might as well bag the rest of the routes too.
Getting There
Park in a large paved turnout midway between Ryan Campground and Hall of Horrors/Saddle Rocks. A signed trail leads directly to Target Rock and then branches - take the right fork which leads to Conrad Rock. You will pass the Heart of Darkness Corridor on the outside (the backside of the crack is obvious) as the trail wraps around the formation heading uphill slightly and then make a sharp left through some rocks to enter the corridor proper. The approach takes 10-15 minutes from the parking area.
