You better believe it! 27 mile crag is the place you want to be on a sunny afternoon. Stunning mountain and glacier views make this place dreamy. The rock here is quite good compared to some of the other choss piles around. This is probably my favorite place to climb in the Valdez area. Sweet!

Getting There Suggest change

Head out of Valdez up to Thompson Pass. Park at the big pull out on the right at the 27 mile marker (Odyssey Lake). Walk across the road and aim for the streambed. Continue along the bed for about a quarter of a mile, and the crag will come into view on the left. Bring bug spray:)
