South Dome

Massachusetts > N Shore > Cape Ann > Dykes Pond (Glo… > N Side > Mt Ann

Description

This is a great yet small dome of granite just south of the summit. It offers some great steep slabs and some awesome cracks.

Getting There

From the summit of Mt. Ann, head south. This crag will be obvious.

[Hide Comment] I checked this place out after Pete recommended it. It is indeed pretty cool. The slabs are nice sized (for bouldering) and pretty clean, and the landings are generally pretty good. Being near the summit, it is open and sunny, won't seep, and should dry fast. I think there is some potentially pretty hard friction problems here including some highballs. It's basically a little slab training ground that is likely climbable pretty much year round.
