Description
Papago Park is a large city park located in central Phoenix. There are many blobs of chocolate-colored rock scattered around the park that invite interested glances from those looking for climbable rock, but this rock is basically petrified mud in most places, and more likely to result in a trip to the ER than a successful climbing experience. One possible exception to this is Hobo House, located on the southeast corner of the park, a more recently developed crag that seems to have rock slightly better than the historic Papago chosspiles.
The park also features lots of other entertaining distractions such as mountain biking, hiking, the Phoenix Zoo, and the Desert Botanical Gardens.
