Description

Sunny area in PMRP across the holler from The Dark Side.

Getting There

Brightside is directly across the holler from The Dark Side. Follow driving directions for Solar Collector/Gold Coast and hike to Solar Collector/Gold Coast. Then, walk left from Solar Collector (especially tempting on crowded fall days when you'll find sun and no crowd at Brightside.)

Alternatively, there is a rough trail that leads up an old road just behind the "Dark Side" sign on the main trail along the valley floor, before crossing the creek.
It is also possible to skirt the wall from The Dark Side and walk around the back of the holler, passing beneath Barn Dance and Praestantissimum along the way. The trail is somewhat rough but not too bad.
