DescriptionThe Upper Tier is split into Left and Right sections by the extension of the wide dike of Zero Gully [see sketch topo photo].
The climbs "China, 5.10d R"; "Neuromancer, 5.12a" and "Woodchuck Edge 5.8R" are located to the Left of the extension of Zero Gully. [This extension is climbed to reach a ledge, which is traversed left to reach the STARTs of these 3 climbs.]
The other climbs are located on the right side of the gully. Only Step Function, 5.10 b starts from the tree-covered traverse ledge, the others start higher up on the wall after climbing P1 of Eigenvector, 5.10c.
The right side of the Upper Tier Wall eventually blends into the upper section of the Main Wall.
Getting ThereFrom the base of Diamond Wall, continue right and up (as for Main Wall), but cut up and left in a tree-filled gully.
This leads to a wide horizontal ledge with trees.
Traverse left on this until you reach a gully (the extension of Zero Gully). Scramble/climb up this 50+/- ft to a ledge on the left. Traverse left on this ledge for (L to R) China, Neuomancer and Woodchuck Edge.
Eigenvector starts to the right of the traverse ledge on stepped ledges.
The climb Step Function starts back on the tree covered ledge BEFORE scrambling up the dike/gully.
