Description
Forested area on state land with easy access due to atv trails everywhere. There are several different areas, and a lot of potential for bouldering. Also a lot of potential for getting lost. Most rock is dirty and has not been climbed in a while if at all. Bring a brush and the spirit of adventure.
Getting There
This area is to the east of black rock park, in Thomaston. Across the road on the east side of route 6. Several ways in: 1-Across from Black Rock park enterance. 2-Hike east on mattatuck trail from trailhead up the hill from the park enterance (further up the hill on rt.6). 3- from pullout on park road up the street even further.
