Description

This Southwest facing wall is characterized by its horizontal and slanted cracks and by a small roof at its left side. The many cracks and holds lend this cliff to much top roping for beginners, intermediates and courses. There are also some good boulder problems on the left hand small roof and traverses along the base of the wall. Routes from 5.4-5.10 can be found here.

It's worth noting that this is an excellent wall to introduce people to rappelling as there is giant ledge just below the anchors.

Stay clear of the tracks! There are quite a few trains coming through these days. We've seen ~1/hour on some trips.

Getting There

The Gray Wall is located 200 feet south from where the path joins the railroad tracks. It can be reached by the trails above it or a path behind a small wooden fence on the trail to the beach. That route will cross the railroad tracks and put you at the wall's base. The latter trail is often quite muddy.
