Description
Local Bouldering crag. i.e. NOT A DESTINATION, but great for DC area locals desperate to find quality bouldering problems outside the gym. Grades from V0-V12+ with good lines and two open projects. 1st open project is likely in the V13+ range, 2nd is in the V11 range. Eliminates after that.
The good: Great lines in scenic location with easy access. The bad: glass, spray paint, other typical city crag issues. Make sure you check out your topout to make sure it is clear of glass, seriously. Update: Spray paint and glass has been mostly cleaned up thanks to Mid Atlantic Climbers! Still a good idea to check topouts and not walk around barefoot.
A couple tall problems to the left of the 45 wall that can be top-roped from a bolt. A couple pads will work (25' or less)

Getting There
Parking is at 38°45'46.8"N 77°12'23.3"W. Walk down the road towards the river, cross the bridge and stop when you see a yellow 15mph sign (38°45'46.8"N 77°12'23.3"W). Cross over the guard rail on the same side you parked on and you'll see the trail that takes you to the boulder. Boulder is ~200ft off the road.
Warning: BE CAREFUL WALKING ALONG THE ROAD. There is okay visibility for cars, stay on the edge of the road and walk in a single file line if you are going with others. Been to the boulder 30+ times and never had an issue, just be smart!
