Routes in Chocolate Bear Block

Description

This tall boulder is located further south down the dirt road from the Triangle Boulder pull off. Rock quality on the north face is pretty good, though it might need cleaning if you're looking for new lines. The overhung west face is pretty good as well.

Again, because of the lack of development in this area (to my knowledge), there are hardly any people around at all.

Getting There

Drive down the dirt road heading south. Once you hit a "bare" area, park and head south a bit further. The block is on the east (left) side of the road and is large enough to see relatively easily.

Right on, Nick. Thanks for the info. I'll put up a description soon. I saw your chalk on it and figured someone sent. I did break a hold above the lip. Then I tried again and topped out on some sandy and exciting holds. Cheers. Jun 19, 2017

tbol - Not sure if you're talking about the same thing, but a few months ago I cleaned up and tried a line on that face just left of a juniper tree. Seemed like it was V3ish, but I didn't commit to the mantel finish. If you sent, throw up a description and give it a name. I agree, it's a nice one. Jun 2, 2017

What's the name of the block just behind Choc. Bear? It has a pretty fun V3ish problem on the South face. Jun 1, 2017
