Surowiti, East Java, Indonesia.

Sport climbing routes on solid limestone.

Surowiti offers approximately 60 sport climbs about 1.5 hours from Surabaya.

Surabaya is the capital of East Java and has Indonesia's first full service climbing gym. The gym also offer a guide service and transportation to and fromthe local crags.

The area currently doesn't have a guidebook, but one is in progress. (Simple topos can be picked up at Class 5 RCC in Surabaya)

The cliff is shaded after 11:00 almost year-round, and most days has a nice breeze blowing in from the Madura Straight.

Routes here are all equipped with stainless steel bolts and hangers. With routes rated from 5.5 to 5.13, this crag has something for everyone.

Getting There

A private car or Motocycle is require. Located half way between Grisic and Tuban in the small village of Surowiti.

From the parking area to furthest route is 15 minutes.
