Mt. Raymond Slabs

Utah > Wasatch Range > Central Wasatch > Big Cottonwood Canyon

Description

(AKA: Bunkerville) Low-angle slab climbing on clean limestone.
This area is for folks who are better at approaches than the actual climbing.

Getting There

The slabs are on the Porter Fork Side of the Peak. Two possible approaches, expect it to take 2-2.5 hours to get there:

1. Big Cottonwood: Hike up to the top of Mt. Raymond and walk down the North Ridge to the top of the slabs. During the approach, you can see the slabs from the top of the Raymond Shoulder.

2. Millcreek: Hike up the Porter Fork Trail to the junction with the Desolation Trail. Walk 100 yards east on the Desolation Trail and bushwhack up the East Ridge of Mt Raymond. Work up and left (north) until the top of the slabs.
