HUMAN WASTE Human waste is one of the major issues plaguing Red Rocks. The Las Vegas Climbers Liaison Council and the AAC provides free "wag bags" in several locations (Black Velvet, First Pullout, Kraft Mtn/Bouldering, The Gallery, and The Black Corridor). These bags are designed so that you can pack your waste out - consider bringing one to be part of your kit (just like your rope and shoes and lunch) no matter where you go. Once used, please dispose of them properly (do not throw them in the toilets at the parking area).
Description
Cave problem, all overhang and good quality rock once past the jugs. Since you're in a cave you have shade throughout the day, but the sun hits the last few holds on the cave during midday. Never sees action since it's a new route; you'll however see trad climbers above you, which is always a plus. Hikers below you but they never stray from the trail. On windy days can be bad: the wind pushes everything through the tunnel and sand into your eyes. Rated at a V4/5, Aaron Scruggs believed to have gotten the first ascent in May. I, Andrew La Combe, got the 2nd. Both of us put time into working the problem with sand and rock crumbling; now it's a solid line for anyone who wants a cave problem with low fall. Two to three pads needed with a spot.
