Dixon School Boulders Climbing

Fill out a climbing/hiking permit at outside the visitor center. Don't shirk this. Not only is it a good idea for the state's liability, but it shows our numbers as a user group and will help with future issues. The visitor center also has bathrooms.

To get to the boulders, you can follow the Ridgeline Trail from the trailhead at the back of the visitors center (~1.1 miles total hike). This keeps you on an established trail for all times, but it is the longest approach. Ridgeline trail will take you southwest for about 0.3 miles, at which point you'll see a sign for Boulders Outlook to turn northeast to head towards the Bethlehem Road trail crossing. Alternatively, you can walk out of the parking lot, the same way you entered in, and walk up (north) Bethlehem Road to the pedestrian crossing sign that picks up the Ridgeline Trail to the Boulders Outlook (~0.7 miles total hike). Doing this way, you'll arrive at the backside of TMI Boulder on your right. A third option is to walk further up Bethlehem Road from the Ridgeline Trail crossing to the next light pole (0.7 miles total hike). Turn right on a unmarked trail to enter the lower boulder field near Zeus Eye Boulder.
