Description

Large dome that lies north of the highway with an abundance of sport and trad routes and multi-pitch climbs. All routes are easily accessible at this time. More climbs and walls exist up the path to the north

Getting There

Either park at the state parking lot at pictograph rocks and walk east along the highway or use the driveway just east of the grassy meadow. There is a climber's entrance here with a rock cairn and address posted '7406'. Drive back and park near the bottom of the dome. There is a picnic table for climbers to use near the east-side routes

Banana Split Dome now has many newly added sport routes. The climbs range from 5.7-5.11+, all very long and well bolted. Access is easy all around the cliff as trails have been recently cut. The land owner is allowing climbing at this time but be respectful of closed, private property between the state parking lot and Banana Split Dome area. Do not enter at the midway driveway, this is private property and the land owner is not allowing climbers at this time. Enter at the driveway to the east with the address posted and open gate. Stay near Banana Split Dome and up the gully uphill to more cliffs. May 18, 2016
