Access Issue: RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek Details

Description

The Blanding Boulders have about 50 different established boulder problems in a relatively small area with plenty potential for development. The sandstone is kind of soft but will clean up nicely with a little traffic. Most of the established problems are in the V0-V3 range with a handful of harder problems.

From Blanding, head south on 191 for three miles, then take a right onto highway 95, heading west for about 4.3 miles, you will be heading down a big curvy hill and before reaching the bottom you will take a right (heading north) on Rt. 2201 (dirt road that runs parallel to small ciff band right before mile marker 117) the boulders will be on the right between .15 and .45 miles down the dirt road.

Campsite Area: From Blanding head west 4 miles on 95. When dropping into large dry wash, turn right on 277. First 3-4 area topos can be found on drtopo.com.
