Description
Reipertsgesee is a little village in the Frankenjura. When you walk into the forest behind Reipertsgesee, you'll find 3 crags separated by 100m or so. The climbing is on nice, grippy limestone pockets and stays cool in the summer. All of the walls offer plenty for the moderate climber, and you shouldn't have a problem with crowds. The main disadvantage to these crags is that they tend to take a while to dry after a rain.
Getting There
To get to Reipertsgesee from a major city, take the A9 to Exit 47 and drive through Spies towards Betzenstein/Hetzendorf. At the intersection take a right and then your first left. You'll be in Reipertsgesee. Near the beginning of the village you'll see a bus stop on your left. Park here or in the little parking lot behind the pond. Get out and walk down this road across the field and into the forest. The crags take between 5 and 10 minutes to reach, and the path is flat and easy.
The GPS coordinates point directly to the parking area directly next to the pond.
