About a 10/15 mile dive from the town of Keswick .In the middle of the valley there is the small village of Buttermere located between the Buttermere Lake and Crummock Water. Has a good pub.There are quite a few crags in the area. Two of the best Honister Crag and Buckstone How are gained from Honister Pass at the East end of the valley.

From US fly to Manchester airport . The Lake District is about a 100 mile drive from the airport.
