Description

This newly developing crag is located about fifteen minutes up trail from the Cathedral Wall. The Space Station is a west facing route located up a steep scree field and can be spotted from the trail. Berkshire Boy Chris Besnia is responsible for putting up this instant classic. Worth the moderate hike. Cool in the early mornings, perfect way to start a summer day up Fergie.

Getting There

From the start of the Ferguson trail head it is roughly a 30 to 40 minute approach to the Space Station. Hike up past The Cathedral and Goldfingers Wall for ten to fifteen minutes crossing the river and hike up the steep eroded hill. Right before the trail crosses the river again look to the east scree field as your next trail. You will be able to see the Space Station from here the classic Space Jam crack will be in view. Hike straight up and through the scree field until you reach the rock face, make a left(north) at the rock face and proceed to follow a newly developing trail up and around the rock face to a gully. From here it is a two minute class 4 scramble to the Space Station, belay bolts are there.... use them!! and ENJOY!!
