Description

Squirrel Rock is a smaller 60' high formation located at the southeast toe of Upper Walts Rock on Queen Mountain. Home to a few decent bolted routes, but not really a destination crag by itself. Notable climbs here include One Nut Needed (5.10b), Searching for Nuts (5.10b), and the nearby Escape to Queen Mountain (5.10a). All routes face south/west and get plenty of sun. An easy descent is made from all routes by a shared bolted rappel anchor.

Getting There

Follow the trail up Queen Mountain as per Upper Walt's Rock. ~2 miles plus lotsa uphill. If you are standing at the base of White Rain or Crack Queen on the right side of Upper Walt's, Squirrel Rock is basically located 20 yards behind you and slightly downhill.
