Description

The Old Forge Region contains some of the most undeveloped and vast wilderness around. Needless to say, it also holds some incredible ice and rock climbing. You may reference the Lawyer/Haas "Adirondack Rock" guidebook for the potential rock climbing areas. The ice routes within this region are still being developed and the area is evolving into its own little niche' for those involved. As noted, Please respect the land and property boundaries, and keep the area pristine.

The Old Forge area is a patchwork of private and public property. Please respect private property and posted signs, and avoid climbing or trespassing on private property unless you have permission from the landowner.

Getting There

From Utica NY, Take route 12 to 28. This will take you directly into the center of Old Forge. More precise directions will be added soon.
