Description
The Escoheag Boulder is a 15' tall beautiful erratic, a three minute hike from the car, past the pavilion. The front side as you approach is a steep face flaring back from a shallow arete running up the middle, with quartz stripes diagonally running across. Around back to the left the angle lessens, but under the lichen you will find a few good easier lines. Right of the quartz face overhangs and has some difficult mantle potential.
Getting There
To get to the Escoheag Boulder, take a wide unmarked trail directly off the end of the cul de sac, not the white dot trail, but one that starts to the right. Follow this and pass just to the right of the pavilion. Continue on another minute and you should see the 15 foot tall boulder in front of you.
