ACEC--Area of Critical Environmental Concern. This preserve is for the protection of Black Sagebrush Vegetation. This vegetation grouping includes all the species in the the Black Sagebrush habitat.

Description

At this location, the limestone formation of the canyon become roadside. On two occasions in the spring of 2007 and the spring of 2008, we climbed on the limestone putting up 10? routes. The difficulty is 5.8 through 11a. They are all on the south-facing wall and extend from the slightly overhanging cove rightward to the pinnacle like formation laying against the wall.
