Description

Elmers Rock is a quite visible landmark when driving the Tunnel Road west from Sybille Canyon. Numerous unrecorded ascents on this rock have been reported to me. The rock is very sound Syenite--similar to granite but with more silicate. All the routes have been trad. The top is a walk-off. There are no known bolts.

Getting There

Drive about 1.5 mile west on Tunnel Road Co RD 727 from the Laramie River Bridge, park and hike west. The steepest part of the face is 0.4 mile from the road.
