Warning: much of the climbing at Guernsey State Park is on fractured or otherwise unsound rock and is protected by home-made anchors and bolts. Exercise extreme caution when climbing here: holds and bolt placements that appear sturdy may not be.

Description

The Shelf Road Wall is a south facing band of sedimentary rock that is above Lake Shore Drive on a steep cliff about 2/3 mile past the Revolutionary Wall.

Getting There

Drive 4.7 miles past the south pay booth or this location would be at mile 5.7. On this section of shelf road park near a cattle guard where a steep canyon comes down from the north.
